Join us at Black Rock Yacht Club for an afternoon and evening of Oktoberfest celebrations by the bay!

We're bringing together German-inspired food and beer for a relaxed, family-friendly event that's perfect for the whole crew.

Calcutta Night - Monday 2nd November

How does it work?

When you arrive, horses are randomly allocated to guests, with approximately a 1 in 3 chance of receiving a horse.

The horses are then auctioned throughout the evening to the highest bidder at7:30pm, 8:00pm, 8:30pm and 9:00pm

If your horse is auctioned, you receive 50% of the final sale price, while the other 50% goes into the prize pool.

You can also team up with friends, split the cost of a horse and share any winnings.

What's up for grabs?

Once the Melbourne Cup is run, the prize pool is paid out. The minimum prize is as follows:

1st – $600
2nd – $300
3rd – $100

The more the horses sell for throughout the night, the bigger the prize pool becomes!

If a horse is scratched after being auctioned, the buyer of the horse will receive a full refund.

Bottomless drinks from 6:00pm–9:00pm – wine, beer, spirits and non-alcoholic options

Canapés from 7:00pm–9:00pm

New Years Eve - December 31st, 2026

Saddle up, Black Rock. We’re riding into 2027.

Trade the party hats for cowboy hats and join us at Black Rock Yacht Club for a Wild West New Year’s Eve overlooking the bay.

We’re turning the clubhouse into our own little slice of the Wild West for one big night of cowboys, cocktails, canapés, music and plenty of mischief as we count down to 2027.

Think Western glamour, a little bit of outlaw energy and all the things that make a BRYC New Year’s Eve worth staying up for.
