BRYC is pleased to introduce the Out There Sailing Program for 2025-26 season.
This program is focused on having fun and trying different things.
Our group is aged 12- 17 and you will have some experience sailing (enough to know you like it). We will teach the fundamentals of rigging, tacking, capsize recovery, and all fun activities sailing related. If it its too windy we will do some classroom activities or go for a ride in a rescue boat. This group is lead by an AS qualified dinghy instructor and assistant. We have access to club boats (Pacers, Fevas, Quest, Laser) but if you have your own you are encouraged to use it.
In the past we have been fortunate to try many different boats during the season including Lasers, Aeros, Sabres, 125s, and Waszps.
We have club SUPs and Kayaks to use too. Cadets will have the opportunity to join the Saturday Club Racing if they are interested.
Places are limited so register early to secure your spot.
All attendees must become Junior Cadet Members ($160)
Fees for the Out There Sailing group are $295 with $30 boat hire fee. Total $325 for the season.
Sessons run from 12:30pm to 3:30pm . No sailing on public holiday weekends.

Green Fleet promotes practicing the fundamental skills of sailing, introduces some foundation race skills through training activities in an environment that is enjoyable, without a competition focus.
During the Program sailors are encouraged to take part in freesail activity, and to trial a variety of boats, boards, and other club related activity through age appropriate design.
